In today’s tension of fear: climate change, terrorism, etc. It’s good to remember muslims have been in the vanguard of the struggle against racism. The struggle is real and complicated. “You gentlemen have been a fixture here, Yonge St. & Dundas St. and Avenue Rd. & Bloor St., for as long as I can remember”, I said. “Today I’m doing this”, said Sadiki Akil. He continued, “If we as a people don’t have love for one another, then we as black people can’t come together”… There’s a lesson in there for everyone. 🙂
